If you want to use the telephone function of your MMI system, one of the following requirements must be met:

A SIM card must be inserted in the SIM card reader Link, or
A handset^* must be connected to the car telephone kit Link, or
A mobile phone must be connected to the car telephone kit Link or the phone pre-installation Link.

The car telephone kit must be switched on Link.
